Ms. Galyon's second grade class published their Spider diamante poems in Microsoft Word. The students gained word processing skills such as centering text and changing font size and type for a specific purpose. Diamante poetry also requires language and grammar skills including knowledge of many parts of speech, such as nouns, adjectives, verbs, and phrases. The students collaborated with their fifth grade buddies to write the poems and then published them on their own.
