Ms. Bertul has created a valuable list of websites that support learning both at home and in the classroom.
Ms. Bertul’s 2nd grade students accessed the internet using our Dell Netbooks on Friday, September 14. After logging in using their personal usernames and passwords, students navigated to Ms. Bertul’s TeacherWeb page and browsed her links. They chose from a variety of websites – Reading, Math, or Science and Social Studies.

The KGOE broadcast happens every morning in the Great Oaks library under the supervision and leadership of our awesome librarian, Clarissa Grindle, and her assistant, Susan Carpenter. Fifth grade students rotate through positions and get a chance to learn and do every task associated with putting on a quality production each day. Students show responsibility and teamwork by being on time each morning and afternoon for practice and rehearsals. This is a great way for Great Oaks students to get a taste of what it's like to be a part of a busy broadcast production team. [email protected] 464-6861 Welcome to my GOE webiste! My name is Julie Scully and I'm a mom, wife, sister, daughter, teacher, learner, reader and problem solver. I love incorporating technology and teaching to make learning fun for kids. I am so excited to be the new Gecko Instructional Technology Specialist! I graduated from Southwest Texas State University way back when and completed my masters in Library Science at Sam Houston State University just this summer. This will be my tenth year working in RRISD. I've been lucky to work with a wide range of students within the elementary schools. I started out in fourth grade, spent several years in TAG, and spent a year in an elementary school library. I feel so very lucky to be one of the new additions to the Great Oaks family! I'm looking forward to meeting you all! It's going to be a fantastic year! : ) |
